Sperm Banks who ship direct to your home?
March 04, 2007 10:14PM

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can reccomend any Sperm Banks who will ship sperm direct to a home address without a doctors signature. Me and my sister are planning at home insems with Donor sperm and TS my sister wants to try this 1st before us spending money heading to a clinic for IUIs.

Has anyone any experience of this at all?

I've been thinking of you lately! How are you?! How was your move to the states? How do you like it over here? I'm sure you've posted info on the boards, but I just missed it.

We went through California Cryobank. I'm not sure if they ship to homes w/out an rx, but it's worth finding out. We had no issues with them at all.

Oh, it's so nice to see you back on here. smiling smiley

Hi Lauren,

Yeah I am kind of unsure where to post now a days the 3rd party reproduction boards is sooo quiet and although were doing surrogacy it kind of feels more like an adoption bacuase it will be my sisters egg and donor sperm and legally it will be an adoption as were in NJ so I tend to post now and then on the adoption board.

But we are very settled in the usa we love it here the lifestyle and the people. I am in college studying for my nclex nursing exam I will take it this summer once this awful retrogression on international nurses will hopefully end.

Our surrogacy plans are all set we will get started in 12 months well thats what my sisters doc said but she is keen to get going sooner lol she is more impatient than me to make me a mommy!!! So wel most likely start trying towards the end of the year.

So nice to hear from you how are things going for you!!!

Things are going really well for us. My twins are now 6 months old and growing so fast.

You sound so happy. That's great. Your sister sounds like such a wonderful person. That's nice that you have her. The end of the year will go more quickly than we know. Before you know it, you'll be starting cycles again!

I'm glad you have adjusted to the US well. That must have been a hectic move. We want to go to Arizona one day and I can't imagine that move (Chicago to Arizona). I can only imagine what you went through to get here.

Some of the boards on here are really busy, others are super quiet. But, people do check them, so it doesn't hurt to post in multiple places. I spend most of my days on Parenting or Toddler.

Again, it's great to see you back here. I'm glad things are going well and I wish you the best. I'll be checking in to see updates. smiling smiley

Ruth,
I believe that we got our ds from NECC ( [www.necryogenic.com] ) . They did not require a doctor's signature. Our b/mom had offered to be our surrogate and we tried just one cycle with her. We had the frozen vials shipped directly to her and she did a home insem. It didn't work and she didn't want to continue.

After we found our surrogate, we did have the vials shipped to her OB for an IUI. We decided we had no more time to waste and that IUI was a better choice for us. She got pg during the second cycle. FYI, her OB did a single IUI/cycle. I have heard of surros and clinics doing 2, 3, or even more but if the ovulation monitoring is on target, it only takes once.

It's good to see you so excited and doing your homework in advance!

Guys thanks for the info!

The link for home-inseminations.org is brilliant was $10 to join but well well worth it so much info on donors, sperm, insems, absolutely invaluable!

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck. We used a known donor so I couldn't help with any info on who ships to your house. However, we did do a home insemination and had it work on the first try. Hope you have the same luck!!!
